Great analysis of the winners! I can’t help but be a little disappointed by how predictable this ceremony was. It was a foregone conclusion that Oppenheimer would win everything and that’s exactly what happened. A shame smaller films like “Past Lives” didn’t get recognition at all. Here’s why I remain upset at Oscars for snubbing it:

I enjoyed the whole show. I thought Kimmel did a good job, especially bashing Trump. Loved the Ken number! Barbie should have won WAY more awards, but at least Billie Eilish got best song.

Was a good show by the usual standards, Barbie’s momentum has fallen off drastically throughout the season. All winners were deserved even if not my personal choice. Only let down was Pacino announcing picture

Why? I wasn’t paying full attention to Pacino. Also, awaiting the Dan Awards!

I will be dropping them tomorrow once the Oscar tuff has slightly calmed down

Also, I thought Robert Downey Jr was going to annoy me with his speech, but he didn’t. I liked how he honored his wife.

A pretty predicable list of winners. I did love “Oppenheimer” but question if it truly deserved 7 wins. I also didn’t like the fact that “Past Lives” won nothing. But that’s just me. Here’s my review of “Oppenheimer” which is now a best picture winner:
