  1. Great list of A24 movies once again. I’m proud to say that I’ve seen more of these than the previous list. All of them definitely were fantastic films worth watching but “Waves” stands out in particular to me. Trey Edward Schults’ intimate drama about a family struggling to come to terms with tragic loss really moved me. I remember sitting speechless after it ended with tears in my eyes. Given the strong impact the film had on me, I was upset it didn’t get any Oscar nominations. So, thank you so much for including it on this list. Here’s why I loved that film:

  2. I really enjoy your countdown, even when I raise an eyebrow over a film’s ranking…we all have our own opinions, and this countdown is terrific fun – I look forward to seeing how there can be 45+ films better than “Lady Bird!”

    1. Have never been a big fan of Lady Bird and knew thst would be the ome film people would pick out for being rather low. I like Gerwig’s work, particularly Little Women but nothing from Lady Bird stood out too much for me. Still a good movie but tough to place it higher

      1. I actually agree with you. I enjoyed “Lady Bird” but don’t think it’s quite the masterpiece critics made it out to be. Maybe, it’s because I’ve seen so many movies of its kind in the coming-of-age genre. I preferred “Little Women”, which was also directed by Gerwig. That was a brilliant adaptation of a celebrated book. Here is why I loved that film:
