After a week of counting down, here are my top 10 all time movies by A24. What is your all time favourite A24 movie?

10. Green Room (2015)

Synopsis: After a punk band member learns about the crimes of a club owner, the latter decides to kill him and his members to protect himself. However, the members successfully foil his plan.

9. Moonlight (2016)

Cast: Trevante Rhodes, Mahershala Ali, Naomie Harris, Ashton Sanders, Jharrel Jerome, Janelle Monae, Andre Holland

Synopsis: Chiron, a young African-American boy, finds guidance in Juan, a drug dealer, who teaches him to carve his own path. As he grows up in Miami, Juan’s advice leaves a lasting impression on him.

8. The Lobster (2015)

2. Aftersun (2022)

Synopsis: Twenty years after their last holiday at a fading vacation resort, Sophie reflects on the rare time spent with her loving and idealistic father Calum. At 11-years-old, as the world of adolescence creeps into Sophie’s view, Calum struggles under the weight of life outside of fatherhood. Sophie’s recollections become a powerful and heartrending portrait of their relationship, as she tries to reconcile the father she knew with the man she didn’t.

Synopsis: Kayla Day, an eighth grader, is introverted but also posts videos about self-confidence on the Internet. Later, she realises she is not the person she is pretending to be and overcomes her fears.

  1. Well, you showed once again why A24 has been so fearless with the movies they’ve produced…of course, one of the choices is a film I hated and couldn’t believe was a critically acclaimed as it was but that’s why we all have our own opinions…again, a great countdown series!

  2. Excellent list of A24’s greatest films. I definitely agree with all of the movies you have listed here especially “Past Lives”. However, I would change order of movies. I enjoyed “Eighth Grade” but didn’t think it was the greatest film made by A24. I suppose I’ve just seen so many coming-of-age movies that are similar that I couldn’t find a way to love it. So, I would have switched the order by putting “Past Lives” and “Aftersun” both of which are superior films above it. That being said, film is subjective, and everyone has their own view on which movies they appreciate the most. Thanks once again for doing the task of creating this list which can’t have been easy.
