Its official, award season has finally ended and it was “Anora” that ultimately won the season by walking awy with 5 Academy Awards on Sunday night, including Best Picture. It is interesting to see that at the 2nd Annual DanLovesFilm Awards, the Sean Baker film did not perform anywhere near as well. Despite enjoying “Anora”, I feel it is a slightly weak Best Picture winner in a good, but not a great line-up this year, hopefully my nominees and winners can rectify things slightly.
I will be back again next year, and it will be interesting to see how the recent winners at the 97th Academy Awards have aged in twelve months time, but for now check out the winners at the 2nd Annual DanLovesFilm Awards.
