National Board of Review

To help keep tabs of Awards Season, I will be posting some of the more minor precursors as well as the major ones such as the Globes and Critics’ Choice. One awards show that has already announced its winners is the National Board of Review, with the nominees and winners announced on the 6th December. The ceremony itself is to be held on 11th January. NBR have a pretty poor correlation with the Academy when it comes to winners (only 3 have aligned since 2000), but their pick for best film usually gets at least a Best Picture nomination.
