81st Annual Golden Globe – Final Predictions

After an eventful 2023 full of summer blockbusters, actors’ strikes and the fall of the superhero movie, there is no better way to welcome the new year with the 81st Annual Golden Globes.

The Globes will be the first major televised ceremony during awards season and now with their increased 300+ members, will serve as a strong indicator as to who will perform well at the upcoming Academy Awards. The Golden Globes also celebrate a year in television as well as film, but I will be solely focusing on the Motion Picture categories.

The favourites in their respective drama and comedy/musical categories are “Oppenheimer” and “Barbie”, both of which racked up an impressive tally of nine nominations each last month. They can expect stiff competition however, from strong contenders “Killers of the Flower Moon” and “Poor Things”, both of which will be looking to make their mark on the 2023-2024 awards season.

Which actors and filmmakers do you think will be walking away with a famous gold statuette on Sunday 7th January.

See below my full list of nominees with my predicted winners highlighted in gold.
