What movies or TV series have you watched more than 5 times?

I have seen multiple movies more than 5 times, perhaps even too many to keep track of, so instead I will try to focus on the movies I feel I have watched the most throughout my 30 years. These may not necessarily be my favourite movies but ones, for one reason or another, I have seen on many occasions.

10. Love Actually (2003)

Synopsis: Eight London couples try to deal with their relationships in different ways. Their tryst with love makes them discover how complicated relationships can be.

9. Airplane! (1980)

Dir: Jim Abrahams, Jerry Zucker, David Zucker

Cast: Robert Hays, Julie Hagerty, Leslie Nielsen, Peter Graves, Lloyd Bridges, Robert Stack

Synopsis: Ted Striker (Robert Hays), a former pilot who has a fear of flying, finds himself burdened with the responsibility of landing a plane safely when most of the crew and passengers fall sick due to food poisoning.

8. Aliens (1986)

Dir: James Cameron

Cast: Sigourney Weaver, Michael Biehn, Paul Reiser, Lance Henriksen, Carrie Henn, Bill Paxton

Synopsis: Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) is sent back to the planet LV-426 to establish contact with a terraforming colony. Once there, she encounters the Alien Queen and her offspring and has to fight them to survive.

7. Beetlejuice (1988)

Cast: Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Jeffrey Jones, Catherine O’Hara, Winona Ryder, Michael Keaton

Synopsis: The ghosts of Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam (Alec Baldwin), a married couple, continue to live in their home. When Barbara’s sister sells the house to new people, they do their best to drive them out.

6. The Big Lebowski (1998)

Dir: Joel Coen

Cast: Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Julianne Moore, Steve Buscemi, David Huddleston, John Turturro

Synopsis: Two goons mistake ‘the Dude’ Lebowski (Jeff Bridges) for a millionaire Lebowski (David Huddleston) and urinate on his rug. Trying to recompense his rug from the wealthy Lebowski, he gets entwined in an intricate kidnapping case.

5. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004)

Synopsis: Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), a prominent anchor, enjoys his success amidst the male-driven industry of the news industry. However, everything changes when Veronica (Christina Applegate), an ambitious reporter, comes into the picture.

4. The Big Short (2015)

Dir: Adam McKay

Cast: Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt, John Magaro, Finn Wittrock, Hamish Linklater, Rafe Spall, Jeremy Strong, Marisa Tomei

Synopsis: In the mid-2000s, a few finance experts observe the instability in the US housing market and predict its collapse. Through their research, they discover the flaws and corruption in the system.

3. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

Dir: Henry Selick

Cast: Danny Elfman, Chris Sarandon, Catherine O’Hara, William Hickey, Glenn Shadix, Paul Reubens, Ken Page, Ed Ivory

Synopsis: Jack Skellington, a being from Halloween Town, finds Christmas Town and is instantly enchanted. The situation becomes riveting when his obsession with Christmas leads him to abduct Santa Claus.

2. Shaun of the Dead (2004)

Dir: Edgar Wright

Cast: Simon Pegg, Kate Ashfield, Lucy Davis, Nick Frost, Dylan Moran, Bill Nighy, Penelope Wilton

Synopsis: Shaun (Simon Pegg) is a salesman whose life has no direction. However, his uneventful life takes a sudden turn when he has to singlehandedly deal with an entire community of zombies.

1. Drive (2011)

Dir: Nicolas Winding Refn

Cast: Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston, Christina Hendricks, Ron Perlman, Oscar Isaac, Albert Brooks

Synopsis: A getaway driver (Ryan Gosling) falls in love with Irene (Carey Mulligan), a criminal’s wife. He gets involved in a robbery attempt and lands himself in trouble with the mob to protect his lover.
